Where to Buy a Heated Water Hose Today: Store Chains, Stock Checks and Online Delivery
A heated water hose is sold at RV dealers such as Camping World, by online RV parts retailers such as etrailer, in the makers' own web shops and at Amazon; those are the sellers whose pages we read ourselves. Farm stores and home-improvement chains turned up in search results, but we could not open their sites. Whether a store near you has a hose on the shelf today can only be seen in that store's own stock checker, so this page states no stock.

The short version
For a heated water hose near you, check an RV dealer first, then a farm store, then a hardware or home-improvement chain. Use the pickup or store filter on the chain's website with your ZIP code, and call if the trip is long: many chain listings ship from a warehouse and are not on the shelf. If nothing is in reach, order online; our 25 ft pick is the Camco 22911. Do not buy pipe heat cable as a substitute.
The short answer for today
If you need a heated water hose nearby and soon, work through three kinds of stores in this order: RV dealer, farm and ranch store, hardware or home-improvement chain. The order is our suggestion; only the RV dealer rests on a page we read. Check each one online with your ZIP code before you drive. If none has the length you need, order online and bridge the cold nights by draining the hose.
We state no stock and no prices on this page. Both change by the day and by the store, and a guide that claims to know them would be wrong by tomorrow. What follows is what we could verify about who lists what, and how to find out the rest in five minutes.
Which kinds of stores list heated hoses
| Kind of seller | What we read on October 11, 2026 | How we know |
|---|---|---|
| RV dealers | Camping World lists the Camco Freeze Ban heated drinking water hose in 12, 25 and 50 ft, 5/8 in, with “Free Pickup at Select Stores” | Chain's product page, read by us |
| RV parts retailers online | etrailer's RV water hose category has a “Heated” filter; its listings showed heated hoses from AquaFresh, Camco and Valterra in lengths from 12 to 50 ft | Retailer's category and search pages, read by us |
| Makers' own shops | Camco, RVGUARD and Kohree sell through their own websites | Makers' pages, read by us |
| Amazon | The hoses in our comparisons were regularly on sale there | Listing data of the same day |
Not in the table: Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, Walmart, Do it Best and farm-supply chains. Pages of several of them appeared in a search-results check on October 11, 2026, but their sites blocked or did not complete our automated requests, and we did not work around that. A search result is not a reading of the page, so we make no statement about what those chains carry. Use the steps below to check them yourself.
One distinction matters more than the store name. A product page on a chain's website is not proof of a hose in the building. Large chains also list items that ship from a warehouse or from a partner seller. Those arrive in days, like any online order. Only a listing that the site marks as available for pickup at your store today is a hose you can carry out.
How to check stock before you drive
Measure first
Know the length before you search. Measure the path from spigot to inlet along the ground; the page on 25 and 30 ft hoses explains the rule of thumb. A store that has only 50 ft is no help for a 12 ft run, because surplus hose must not stay coiled while plugged in (PIRIT manual).Search the chain's site with your store set
Enter “heated water hose” and set your ZIP code or store. Then use the filter for pickup or in-store availability. Ignore results marked for shipping only if you need the hose today.Try the other names
Stores file the product differently. Try “heated hose”, “heated RV water hose”, “heated drinking water hose” and “heated garden hose”. Skip results for automotive heater hoses and hot-water hoses; those are different products.Call for anything over a short drive
Ask for the length, the brand and whether the box is physically on the shelf. Website counts can lag behind the shelf.Ask where it is shelved
In the store, look in RV supplies, livestock watering and winter plumbing. The same hose may sit in any of the three.
What to check on the box
A store purchase has one advantage over a listing: the box and often the instruction sheet are in your hands before you pay.
- Length and bore. 5/8 in is the usual inner diameter; some low-priced hoses are 1/2 in.
- The rating. −20 °F, −40 °F or −45 °F is the maker's claim. No box we know of names a test method.
- Drinking water. Look for a named standard and certifier. “Lead free” without either is a statement, not a certificate.
- The cord. Note its length and which end it leaves the hose. It has to reach a GFCI-protected outlet directly: PIRIT writes “Do not use extension cords.”
- The instruction sheet. If the box can be opened, read the rules on coiling, insulation and the thermostat's position.
- The receipt. Keep it. Camco's site ties its 3-year warranty to the receipt, while the Amazon listing data for the same hose says 1 year.
The comparison by spec sheet shows what the common brands put in writing, so you can judge an unfamiliar box against them.
What not to buy instead
When the heated hoses are sold out, the heat cable for pipes two aisles over looks like a substitute. It is not. Frost King answers the question in its own FAQ: “No, never install the Heat Cable Kits on any type of hoses.” Its kits are made for copper, iron or Schedule 40 plastic water pipes only. The page on heat tape for a water hose has the details. An extension cord to make a short power lead reach is the second purchase to leave on the shelf.
Ordering online
If no store in reach has the right length, an online order is the practical route, and it has one real advantage: you can choose by data instead of by what happens to be on the shelf.
Camco 25 ft (22911)
AdCamco · Established brand
The 25 ft hose whose listing names its certifications and its certifiers.
Why here: For the standard 25 ft run it is the hose with the most in writing: named drinking-water certifications in the listing, bore and warranty on Camco's own site. Camco is also the brand Camping World lists.
Best for: RV sites where the spigot is within 25 ft and named drinking-water certifications matter more than the lowest price.
What speaks for it
- Listing names an NSF/ANSI 61 certified hose and CSA lead-free certification to NSF/ANSI 372
- Thermostat-controlled heating cable that only heats as needed (listing)
- 5/8 in inner diameter
- Camco's own site lists a 3-year warranty with receipt
What to know first
- Camco publishes no wattage on its product pages
- Instruction sheet not available online: cord and insulation rules could not be checked
- Warranty is given as 1 year in the Amazon listing data and 3 years on camcooutdoors.com

If the run is longer
If you want the brand the RV dealers carry
On timing: delivery takes days, and search demand for these hoses rises steeply from October into November and December. Ordering before the first freezing night is the calmer way.
Until the hose arrives
For the nights in between, the oldest method works: shut off the spigot in the evening, disconnect the hose, drain it and bring it inside; on an RV, use the fresh-water tank and the pump. The guide on keeping an RV water hose from freezing describes the routine and the unheated parts that need attention even with a heated hose. The heated RV water hose page covers the hook-up at the pedestal.
Bottom line
Start with the RV dealer and the farm store, verify stock on the store's own site, and treat shipping-only listings as mail order. If the shelf is empty, the Camco 25 ft hose* (paid link) is our pick for the standard run and the RVGUARD hose* (paid link) the budget alternative. The heated water hose overview leads to every length and use.
Questions people ask
Does Home Depot sell heated water hoses?
We could not confirm it first-hand: Home Depot's website blocked our automated request on October 11, 2026, and we did not work around that. Search the chain's site for “heated water hose”, set your store and look at the pickup filter. A listing marked for shipping only is a mail order, not a hose on the shelf. This page states no stock for any store.
Does Lowe's sell heated water hoses?
We could not confirm it first-hand. All we have is a search-results check of October 11, 2026, in which a Lowe's product page for a 100 ft heated water hose appeared; the chain's site itself did not open for our request, and we did not work around that. Set your store on the website and filter for pickup. A listing marked for shipping only is a mail order, not a hose on the shelf.
Which stores carry heated RV water hoses near me?
RV dealers are the most likely place. Camping World's website lists the Camco Freeze Ban heated drinking water hose in 12, 25 and 50 ft and names free pickup at select stores. Farm stores and hardware chains appeared in our search-results check of October 11, 2026, but we did not read their sites, so we name none of them as a source. Check the store's own page for your ZIP code.
Is a heated garden hose from a store different from a heated RV hose?
No. Heated RV water hose, heated garden hose and heated drinking water hose are names for the same product type, and the same hoses name RV, garden and livestock use. A store may shelve it with RV supplies, with livestock watering or with winter plumbing. Read the box for length, bore and what it says about drinking water, not the aisle sign.
What can I do tonight if no store has a heated hose?
Do not improvise with pipe heat cable; Frost King rules out hoses for its kits. For one freezing night, shut off the spigot, disconnect the hose and drain it, and on an RV run from the fresh-water tank and pump. That costs nothing and bridges the days until a hose arrives.
